New Ph.D. With Great Books Focus Is Here!

After years of planning, I’m pleased to announce that Faulkner University has received full approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to offer a Ph.D. in Humanities.

This new degree is a distance program and is grounded in a Great Books curriculum. Core classes and seminars are conducted in the evenings via conference call. Degree requirements also include several tutorials, in which a student works one-on-one with a professor in his area of interest. Students can select a concentration in history, literature, philosophy, or general humanities.

If this program sounds promising to you or anyone you know, take a look at its website for more information. I’ll be teaching one or two courses per year in the program, and I’m very much looking forward to it!
