The Silmarillion Seminar

With a mere five kids and four jobs, I have all kinds of free time. So for the last year and a half, I’ve been participating in an online seminar on J.R.R. Tolkien’s Silmarillion. We broadcast live on Middle-Earth Network Radio and then release recordings of our sessions as podcasts on the Tolkien Professor‘s feed. You wouldn’t believe how far-ranging some of the discussions are.

The group has belatedly set up a blog to further the discussion from the seminar. It’s still in the early stages, and we’re in the process of getting the participants set up as contributors. If you’re interested in Tolkien (and who isn’t, with the new Hobbit movie coming out this fall?), you may enjoy our seminar and accompanying blog. I’ll post a permanent link in the sidebar as well.
