Revisit “Animal Farm,” Cartoon Style

Like most Americans who went through the public school system, I’ve read George Orwell’s Animal Farm a time or two. I did not know that an animated version of it was made back in the 1950s a few years after its publication. Thanks to the wonders of Youtube, the entire film is available now at this link.

The movie differs a bit from the book but gets the basic points across. It could be a good introduction to the work for children or other young readers. Be aware that there are periodic advertisements throughout the video.
